Onto the creative process, what did I do wrong? It's a simple monologue. There's no wayang kulit, no pretense, no pretentiousness, it's forthright. I thought that would count. But noooooo. The guys during the Q&A were so obviously tongue-tied. They came across as not knowing what they had done and why they had done it. No clear answers. He did use big words, however. But as I said, pell-mell. Didn't answer the questions posed. He prevaricated to the highest degree. And THAT appealed to Joe and Gavin??? I wouldn't mind if someone really good had been chosen. Complete with fake blood and all. I guess I'm just bitter because they evidently had something I lacked. The print-life claims promoted with various combinations of ink and media should not be confused with guarantees of longevity, says a paper recently posted in the Knowledge Base on Breathing Color’s website. The paper points out that although Print Permanence Ratings test for factors such as exposure to light, exposure to other common environmental factors are left out. For example, print permanence could conceivably be affected by exposure to certain chemicals in carpets, stretcher bars, the Kraft paper used with framed prints, and the boxes your inkjet media comes in. And that may have been the case when some printmakers discovered that even prints on papers with high print permanence ratings began deteriorating within months (and in some cases, days) of being printed. “Should a product not live up to its rating, users need to understand they will receive absolutely no recourse—in some cases, not even a refund for the price of the roll or box of sheets purchased,” notes the paper. “Ratings are no guarantee of longevity.
